Toy Jam Concert at Satellite Bar

Poster Design for Satellite Bar and Grille in Wilmington North Carolina. This was a benefit concert with a lot of local bands performing to raise money for Toys for Tots. the Local PODS Dealership was asking for donations to fill a PODS container for the kids at Christmas. The price of admission to get into the concert was a toy. This is the process of my artistic involvement with the clients to the final that represented the concert.

Here is the concept. A classic Christmas toy that everyone knows jamming out on a Christmas tree shaped electric guitar. It is not complete by any means but there is a lot going on here with a lot of hours into it. I wanted to make a poster like a kid would make it. You know cut everything out and tape it to the back ground. I will eventually bring out the tape like on the Gloriana poster but the tape will look like masking tape and scotch tape, maybe even paper clip the list on. I will have the bands on the list. I also saved some room in the top right for he Time and Date. Bottom left will fill up with sponsors? As for that it is a good start. I think. See what you think and you can comment right here in the gallery on the left. Another thing this gallery always makes things look a little more saturated and hot than the actual image. The color palette is a bit more muted and goes better but it is what it is here.
Satellite Bar Detail. Wanted text that reminded you of something TOP SECRET. Also wanted to make it look like a stencil and that it was kind of spray painted on there. Also really like how the torn paper in the red and green paper came out.
You can almost hear the signals coming out of that satellite.
